In a ceremony held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, local authorities in Marib Governorate (northeastern Yemen) honored 100 outstanding teachers from the governorate. The event, which included an artistic and speech program, was attended by several local government leaders.

Appreciation for Teachers' Efforts

According to a correspondent for "Barran Press", Abdullah Al-Bakri, the undersecretary of the governorate for administrative affairs, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the "need to pay attention to teachers and raise their salaries in light of the great efforts they make in educating generations."

Al-Bakri stated that teachers "deserve more than this honor and these certificates. They are the ones who make doctors, engineers, and other holders of higher degrees." He pointed out that "there is a great shortcoming in the rights of teachers, but this did not deter them from performing their noble mission."
