President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, has ordered a grand official and public tribute for "Hero of Al-Sharman," Mohammed Sadeq Al-Senawi. The young man, described as a "legendary figure," led a heroic resistance against Houthi forces in the Mawiah district of Taiz governorate.

The directive came during phone calls between Al-Alimi, Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan, and Mawiah District Director Abduljabbar Al-Sarari. The calls aimed to ensure proper arrangements for the funeral, including extensive media coverage, befitting the sacrifices of Al-Snawi and his "heroic companions."

The presidential directives include granting Al-Senawi's family a plot of land and financial assistance to build a home. Additionally, the government will cover funeral expenses and provide aid to his three comrades who died alongside him. All four will be recognized as martyrs of the armed forces and popular resistance, receiving monthly stipends.

These directives were announced as Al-Senawi's family arrived in Taiz City, preparing for the funeral scheduled for this coming Friday.

On May 10th, the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization, launched a large-scale security operation in Taiz against residents of the Al-Sharman checkpoint in Mawiah district.

The Houthis claimed the operation aimed to apprehend "wanted individuals," notably the recently released prisoner, Mohammed Sadeq Abdo Al-Snawi. Al-Senawi, a young father of a daughter and son, had not yet reached his thirties when he staged a heroic resistance against the Houthi forces.

Despite facing a heavily armed Houthi campaign, Al-Senawi, the "Hero of Al-Sharman," refused to surrender. He bravely fought against the Houthi forces, killing and injuring several of their fighters before ultimately losing his life. His story of courage and sacrifice in the fight for freedom has resonated throughout Yemen.

Al-Senawi's heroic stand against the Houthi forces, even in the face of overwhelming odds, has become a symbol of resistance and a testament to the strength of the Yemeni people in their struggle against oppression.
