Marib: Ophthalmology Hospital Provides Over 39,000 Free Medical Services in Four Months

The Specialized Eye Hospital in Marib Governorate, located in northeastern Yemen, announced on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, that it has provided over 39,859 free medical services to patients during the first quarter of the current year, funded by the King Salman Center for Relief.

The official website of Marib Governorate quoted the hospital director, Ahmed Saeed, stating that the free services offered by the hospital to patients during the first quarter of the current year included 930 surgical operations, 2,203 laboratory tests, and 2,086 different radiological examinations.

Furthermore, the hospital's services during the same period included 10,026 consultations, with 1,413 cases diagnosed using diagnostic devices. Additionally, the hospital provided 17,015 free medications and 7,599 medical glasses to patients, according to Ahmed Saeed.

The director of the specialized hospital emphasized the hospital's commitment to providing the necessary and best medical care to visually impaired or blind patients in the Marib Governorate and neighboring provinces free of charge.
