The Yemeni Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Guidance, recognized by the international community, has reported that over 14,000 Yemeni pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year.

In a statement released on Saturday, June 1, 2024, the ministry announced that 14,323 pilgrims had reached the holy lands as of Saturday evening. This represents a portion of the country's total Hajj quota of 24,255 pilgrims for the year 1445 AH.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to facilitating the process for Yemeni pilgrims, ensuring smooth travel arrangements, accommodation, and the performance of their pilgrimage rituals.

According to the statement, Yemeni pilgrims are arriving in Saudi Arabia via air and land routes, with the Wadi'a border crossing facilitating a seamless flow of travelers.

On Tuesday, May 28, the Ministry of Awqaf and Guidance initiated the departure of Hajj pilgrims from Sana'a International Airport, alongside flights from Aden International Airport and another from Riyan Airport in Hadhramaut.

The ministry reported that four flights from Sana'a International Airport, carrying 403 pilgrims, had arrived in Saudi Arabia on board Yemenia Airways. Eight flights from Aden International Airport, carrying 950 pilgrims, have also arrived, while 137 pilgrims have been transported from Riyan International Airport to Jeddah.
