Salem bin Berik, the Minister of Finance in the internationally recognized Yemeni government, announced the completion of "approximately 50% of the review of files for processing the cases of employees who were displaced from their civilian, military, and security positions in the southern provinces."

This statement was made during Minister bin Berik's briefing on the "performance level of the technical committee, which includes representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Civil Service, Insurance, Defense, Interior, and the Central Control and Accounting Agency," according to a statement published on the ministry's website.

The committee's tasks, as outlined in the statement, include "reviewing the files and assessing the fulfillment of the conditions for disbursing financial entitlements to the displaced employees."

These official efforts aim to address the issues faced by employees who were displaced from their positions based on presidential decrees and per Cabinet Resolution No. 28 of 2023, regarding the financial support for displaced employees, as stated in the press release.

On May 15th, 2023, the President of the Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, issued decisions to promote and regulate the status of over 52,000 displaced employees in the southern provinces in the military and security sectors.
