King Salman Relief Center Concludes Successful Medical Campaign in Hadhramaut, Yemen

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRelief), a Saudi government organization, announced on Monday, June 3, 2024, the completion of a "voluntary medical project for neurosurgery and spine surgery" in the Seiyun district of Hadhramaut Governorate (eastern Yemen). The campaign successfully conducted 48 specialized surgeries.

According to a statement released by KSRelief on the X platform, the center's volunteer medical team examined 400 patients during the campaign, performing 48 specialized surgeries, all of which were successful.

The project, which took place from May 19 to 25, 2024, involved 17 volunteers from various medical specialties.

This project is "an extension of the voluntary medical projects implemented by the center in various specialties to help individuals and families with limited income in countries in need," according to the statement.

Prior to this, on May 18, 2024, KSRelief concluded a voluntary medical project for orthopedic surgery and joint replacement in the Seiyun district. The project included examinations of 35 patients at the joint clinic and 25 patients at the bone and fracture clinic, as well as 27 joint replacement surgeries and 14 bone fracture surgeries.

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, KSRelief signed an agreement with the World Health Organization worth $9.5 million to support vital health projects in Yemen.
