The Ministry of Education signed an agreement with the Social Development Fund on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, to build and equip a new school for girls and add six classrooms to a school for students with special needs in the province. The project, costing a total of $1,030,000, signifies a significant investment in education for marginalized groups in the region.

The agreement, signed by Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Ali Al-Abab and Social Development Fund representative Mohammed Al-Asri, outlines the construction of the "Ruqayyah" school for girls on land allocated by the Ministry of Education in the Al-Rawdah district of the city. The school will feature 27 classrooms, an administrative office, facilities, restrooms, a library, and two laboratories.

The agreement also includes the construction of four additional classrooms for the "Al-Arsh" school for students with special needs.

This project highlights the commitment of the Yemeni government and the Social Development Fund to provide quality education opportunities for all children, regardless of gender or ability. The new school and classroom additions are expected to significantly improve access to education for girls and students with special needs in Marib, contributing to a brighter future for the region.
