The Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization, has arrested Ahmed Hussein Al-Dhahiri, the executive director of the PERCENT Foundation, according to local sources. The arrest followed a raid on Al-Zahiri's home, where Houthi security and intelligence forces reportedly confiscated personal belongings and property.

Faris Al-Himiari, a journalist for the Chinese news agency Xinhua in Yemen, reported on the social media platform X, Seen by Barran Press,  that Houthi forces raided Al-Dhahiri's home and detained him. Al-Hamri cited unnamed sources, stating that the Houthi elements "ransacked the contents of the house and the foundation's headquarters, looting personal belongings and possessions."

The PERCENT Foundation, established in July 2012, is an independent civil organization specializing in public opinion research and promoting transparency.

Since last Thursday, June 7, the Houthi group has been conducting a widespread campaign of arrests targeting employees of international and UN organizations working in Sana'a and areas under their control.

A joint statement issued by 116 local organizations, seen by "Barran press" revealed that the Houthis launched a coordinated armed operation in areas under their control, including Sana'a, Hodeidah, Sa'ada, and Amran, targeting Yemeni employees working for the UN and international organizations on Thursday and Friday, June 6-7. The statement indicated that 50 employees from international organizations, UN agencies, and civil society organizations were abducted.

On Sunday, June 9, sources in Sana'a reported that dozens of employees of international and UN organizations arrested by the Houthis were subjected to severe torture in secret prisons run by the group in Sana'a.

The sources, requesting anonymity for security reasons, revealed that the Houthis forced the detained employees to confess under torture. They described the confessions extracted by the Houthis as "contrived," alleging that the employees were "linked to an intelligence apparatus spying against the group, affiliated with Washington and the Zionist entity."

According to the sources, the Houthi group documented these confessions with audio and video recordings and is currently processing them for broadcast in the coming days to promote a security achievement they claim to have achieved in the areas under their control.
