A workshop held in Marib Governorate on Wednesday discussed the findings of a field study comparing the health and social conditions of Yemeni women in host and displaced communities.

The study, conducted by the Bina' for Development Foundation in coordination with the governorate's Health Office, focused on examining the reality of Yemeni women based on health and social indicators. It employed a methodology of conducting interviews with a sample of targeted families.

According to the Marib Governorate website, the study aimed to investigate the impact of conflict and displacement on young people's desire to form families, as well as the influence of pressure to marry and have children at a young age on their willingness to access and utilize reproductive health services.

The workshop discussed mechanisms for improving services provided to families in general and young people in particular, targeting communities in Marib, Aden, and Hadhramaut governorates.

The study recommended strengthening interventions and ensuring their effective implementation to expand and improve reproductive health services in the future.

Marib Deputy Health Director Nasser Al-Saeedi highlighted the importance of this study in discussing the status of the reproductive health sector, assessing its needs, and developing future plans based on its findings and recommendations.
