The Yemeni Ministry of Awqaf has prepared 516 buses equipped with modern amenities to transport 24,255 Yemeni pilgrims from their accommodations in Makkah to the holy sites, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported on Friday, June 14th.

The pilgrims are now heading to the Mina camp to spend the day of Tarwiyah and stay overnight, following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in preparation for their journey to the sacred plain of Arafat to perform the Hajj pilgrimage's most important pillar.

The Ministry of Awqaf, recognized by the international community, has organized the transportation in four stages, each lasting three hours, starting from dawn on Friday. The buses, provided by the Hajj and Umrah sector, are equipped with the latest comfort features to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.

Minister of Awqaf, Mohammed Shabeeb, confirmed that all arrangements have been finalized to accompany the Yemeni pilgrims during their pilgrimage in the holy sites. Dedicated medical, supervisory, transportation, awareness, and guidance teams have been deployed to serve the pilgrims and provide them with necessary services.

The pilgrims will remain in Mina until sunrise on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah before heading to Arafat to stand in prayer. They will then return to Mina after leaving Arafat and spend the night in Muzdalifah to perform the ritual of throwing stones at the three pillars on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
