Yemen's President Directs Emergency Aid for Wounded Soldiers and Resistance Fighters

President Rashad al-Alimi of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council has ordered the disbursement of emergency financial aid to wounded soldiers and members of the popular resistance, according to Yahya al-Sha'ibi, Director of the Presidential Office. Al-Alimi also directed the transfer of critically injured individuals for treatment abroad.

Al-Shu'aibi, acting on behalf of the President, visited several hospitals in Aden, the temporary capital, on Monday, June 17th, 2024, to extend Eid al-Adha greetings to wounded soldiers, military personnel, and resistance fighters.

During his visit, al-Shu'aibiconveyed President al-Alimi's instructions for providing emergency financial assistance and arranging treatment abroad for those in critical condition.

"These directives are a testament to our appreciation for their immense sacrifices and the heroic battles they have fought in defense of the revolution, the republican system, and in confronting the destructive Iranian-backed Houthi project in Yemen and the region," al-Shu'aibistated.

He emphasized the Presidential Leadership Council's and the government's commitment to providing comprehensive support and care to wounded soldiers, all military formations, the popular resistance, and the families of martyrs.
