The Yemeni Coast Guard, under the internationally recognized government, has issued a warning to beachgoers in the provinces of Mahra, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, and Socotra to avoid swimming during the upcoming monsoon season.

According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, the Coast Guard has highlighted the heightened risks associated with strong waves and high tides expected from June to September 2024, particularly in the eastern Yemeni provinces.

The Coast Guard urges residents of these provinces to exercise caution and avoid venturing into the sea, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding lives. They have also appealed to parents to prioritize the safety of their children by advising them against swimming in deep waters.
