Yemen's internationally recognized Defense Minister, Mohsen al-Da'ari, awarded an honorary Master's degree in Military Science to Aidarus al-Zubaidi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and the head of the Southern Transitional Council, on Sunday, June 30th. The degree comes with all associated rights and privileges.
The award was presented during al-Zubaidi's attendance at the graduation ceremony of several military cohorts at the Higher Military Academy in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, according to the official Yemeni news agency Saba.
In his speech at the ceremony, al-Zubaidi praised the efforts of the Ministry of Defense and the Higher Military Academy in keeping pace with the continuous development of military and strategic sciences, reaching a level comparable to the best Arab and international academies.
Addressing the graduating officers from the 7th Higher War Cohort, the 6th National Defense Cohort, and the 16th Command and Staff Cohort, al-Zubaidi stated that "their graduation proves that our armed forces are strong and continue to contribute in various fields."
Al-Zubaidi emphasized the role of the Higher Military Academy in preparing and training military personnel to enhance their capabilities, enabling them to fulfill their national duties and responsibilities and assume various leadership roles. He highlighted that the graduates face significant field tasks and will be entrusted with the responsibility of applying their acquired knowledge in the field and on the front lines, further strengthening the capabilities of the military institution.
