The United States government stated on Sunday, June 30th, that its special envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, will continue discussions with partners in Saudi Arabia and Oman this week regarding the recent detentions of UN personnel by the Houthis and attacks in the Red Sea.
According to a statement released by the US State Department on its website and seen by Bran Press, the US special envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, will travel to Saudi Arabia and Oman this week.
The statement said that the US envoy will continue "discussions with partners on the Houthis' recent detentions of UN staff, diplomats, and international NGOs."
He will also discuss "efforts to ensure an immediate halt to the Houthis' reckless attacks in the Red Sea and surrounding waterways."
