A powerful explosion rocked the Hareeb district of Marib Governorate in northeastern Yemen on Thursday evening, July 25, 2024, coinciding with clashes between government forces and Houthi rebels in the southern part of the governorate.

Barran Press correspondent reported that the explosion occurred in the southern part of Hareeb district shortly after sunset. The blast was attributed to a missile strike launched by the Houthi group.

The correspondent confirmed that the Houthi missile, believed to be a ballistic missile, targeted Hareeb district but landed in an unpopulated area north of the district, causing no casualties or material damage.

The missile strike coincided with ongoing clashes between government forces and Houthi rebels in the Al-Akdah front, south of Marib. These clashes resulted in the injury of a government soldier, identified as Mohsen Naji Al-Angaf Al-Obaidi.
