A young man was killed by his uncle on Monday in a dispute over a piece of land in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, according to local sources.

Sources told "Barran Press" that Osama Mohammed al-Salmi was killed by his uncle, Jamil al-Salmi, in the Khadir district, east of Taiz.

The sources explained that a dispute over a shared piece of land between the al-Salmi family members escalated into an exchange of gunfire, resulting in the death of Osama at the hands of his uncle, Mohammed al-Salmi.

This incident follows a similar tragedy in mid-July where three brothers, Fahd, Mohsen, and Fazl Sayed Makabs, were killed by their fourth brother in a land dispute in the al-Rabat village in the Hadis district of the al-Sayani district in Ibb province.

These incidents highlight the ongoing tensions and violence stemming from land disputes in Yemen, a country already grappling with a devastating civil war.
