During a ceremony celebrating the hospital's achievements from October 10th, 2019, to July 28th, 2024, in the field of combating blindness, the administration stated that the services included 12,118 free surgical operations to restore vision, according to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba).

The services also included providing free medication to 251,043 beneficiaries, 98,135 medical and sunglasses, 36,854 laboratory services, 187,400 diagnostic services, and 23,092 services from the automated imaging clinics.

The agency reported that the ceremony, organized by the hospital funded by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Sector of Therapeutic Medicine, Shoqi al-Sharjabi, and Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abdulrabah Muftah.

In their speeches, Abu al-Ghaith, al-Sharjabi, and Muftah praised the humanitarian role of the King Salman Center and the efforts of the affiliated hospital, highlighting the fully free, high-quality services it provides to combat blindness and alleviate the suffering of eye patients among displaced persons and host communities amidst the difficult displacement and humanitarian conditions.

The officials emphasized the importance of continuing and expanding this project to provide more specialized services, particularly for retinal and corneal surgeries, given the increasing prevalence of eye diseases, especially among displaced persons.
