The Yemeni Cultural Attaché in India announced on Sunday, August 4, 2024, that it has reached an agreement with an Indian university to offer 72 free seats for Yemeni students in both online and in-person programs.
According to a document obtained by "Barran Press," Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Haryana, India, has provided 72 free seats for Yemeni students in various science fields for both undergraduate and graduate levels for the academic year 2024/2025.
The scholarships, as per the document, encompass 11 free academic programs requiring in-person attendance. Of these, 10 are for undergraduate programs: 2 in Computer Applications, 2 in Business Administration, 6 in Commerce, 2 in Computer Science and Engineering, 4 in Hospitality and Hotel Management, 1 in Nursing, 6 in Medical Laboratories, 6 in Forensic Science Technology, and 6 in Dialysis Technology.
The scholarships also include 1 free seat for Master's in Business Administration and 4 seats for Master's in Biochemistry, both requiring in-person attendance.
Regarding online programs, the Cultural Attaché mentioned 3 undergraduate programs: 6 seats in Computer Applications, 6 in Business Administration, and 6 in Commerce. For Master's degrees, there are 4 seats in Business Administration, 4 in Computer Applications, and 6 in Mathematics.
The Cultural Attaché stated that the deadline for registration is September 30, 2024, as per the agreement between the Cultural Counselor and the university administration. The seats are tuition-free, but students are required to pay a registration fee to the university, ranging from $200 to $250 depending on the program.
