A Qatari charity has distributed medicine to 12 healthcare facilities in rural areas of Yemen's Hodeidah and Hajjah governorates, benefiting over 210,000 people, according to a report by Yemen Relief Web, an UN-focused news website & monitored by "Barran Press".

The initiative, implemented by Qatar Charity in partnership with the Yemen Humanitarian Fund, aims to improve the health of displaced and impoverished families in these regions. Since its launch in 2023, the project has provided essential medications, trained healthcare staff, and equipped hospitals with modern medical equipment.

The program has been praised by residents for its positive impact on local healthcare services. "The health situation in our area was extremely bad," said Abdullah Mohammed, a resident of one of the beneficiary areas. "Thanks to Qatar Charity and its partners, medicine is now available in health centers, providing relief to patients."

Another resident, Anwar Ahmed Al-Haj, highlighted the project's contribution to improving the health center in the Bajil district. "The project has helped establish a maternity ward, provide laboratory supplies, and ensure the presence of doctors and nurses," he said.

Beyond medication distribution, Qatar Charity has implemented various health projects in Yemen, including treatment programs, health awareness campaigns focusing on preventing infectious and chronic diseases, and training for healthcare workers. These initiatives aim to enhance skills, improve service quality, and provide essential knowledge on topics like first aid, mental health, and infectious disease prevention.

The project's success demonstrates the impact of international aid in addressing the dire healthcare situation in Yemen, which has been ravaged by years of conflict and humanitarian crises.
