A Yemeni expatriate, Marwan Abdo Al-Thalaia, was tragically murdered and his car stolen by an armed gang in the "Bilad Al-Rus" area south of Sana'a, according to local sources.

Two days after the crime, tribal citizens apprehended the alleged killer, identified as Shaif Mujahid Sabr Mohsen Sabr, from Bani Shidad district in eastern Kholan, Sana'a. The sources told "Barran Press" that Al-Thalaia, a resident of the Mubin district in Hajjah governorate, was working as a passenger transporter between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. He was fatally attacked by a passenger upon reaching Bilad Al-Rus.

The killer, after committing the crime, disposed of the victim's body and attempted to flee with the car, but it broke down. He abandoned the vehicle in a deserted ravine in Bilad Al-Rus and fled to eastern Kholan. He was ultimately identified through travel documents found in the car and apprehended by local citizens.

The sources criticized the silence of the Houthi authorities, who are listed as a terrorist group by the international community, regarding the incident. They highlighted the alarming deterioration of security and the erosion of societal values in the absence of effective state protection for citizens.

This incident underscores the growing insecurity and lawlessness in areas controlled by the Houthis, raising concerns about the safety and well-being of the Yemeni population.
