Marib, Yemen - An introductory seminar for the "Marib Comprehensive  Conference" was held on Thursday, August 8th, outlining the conference's objectives and preparing for its official launch in the coming days.

According to a Barran Press correspondent, several speeches were delivered at the seminar, highlighting the conference's significance and its potential to contribute to the overall Marib landscape.

Abdulkarim Haider, the head of the facilitation committee, emphasized the importance of the conference and its role in uniting all forces in Marib. He stated that it will operate under the umbrella of the republican system and the outcomes of the National Dialogue as a fundamental foundation for effective partnership among all active national forces.

Haider further emphasized that the conference is a comprehensive socio-political entity for the people of Marib, aiming to defend the governorate and liberate its districts still under the control of the Houthi group, internationally classified as a terrorist organization.

He added that the conference aims to protect Marib from all current challenges and threats.

Naji Al-Haneeshi, the committee's secretary, presented the conference's constitution, outlining its political, social, academic, civil society, youth, and women's components in the governorate.

Al-Haneeshi also mentioned that the conference aims to foster a culture of reconciliation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among the diverse inhabitants of Marib society, prioritizing the governorate's interests, security, stability, and development of overall political, social, and tribal interests.

The seminar, attended by politicians, citizens, and interested individuals, featured a working paper presented by Hussein Al-Sader, a member of the facilitation committee, who highlighted the importance of the Marib Comprehensive  Conference at both the local and national levels.

In his paper, Al-Sader discussed collective political action, which he said would contribute to the development of local policies in administrative and developmental spheres and work to unify efforts in support of government policies aimed at achieving peace and ensuring a better future for all.
