The Yemeni Ministry of Interior, recognized by the internationally recognized government, announced on Saturday the execution of a death sentence for a murder conviction at the Central Correctional Facility in Hadhramaut province (southeastern Yemen).
According to a ministry statement published on its official website, the death sentence was carried out yesterday in the central correctional facility in the city of Seiyun, as a legal retribution for the convicted individual, identified as (M.A.S.N.), for the premeditated and malicious murder of citizen "Mohammed Yaslam Sulaiman bin Bader Al-Nahdi" on January 8, 2021.
The statement said that "the execution of the legal retribution was carried out based on the final and binding judgments of the primary court, the appeals court, and the Supreme Court, and was approved by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council."
The execution was carried out in the presence of representatives and delegates from the judiciary, justice, prosecution, security and police agencies, as well as the victim's family, the convicted individual's representatives, and relatives. Police secured the execution site and implemented all necessary security measures.
