A security meeting held in Taiz governorate (southwestern Yemen) on Sunday, August 11, 2024, under the chairmanship of Governor Nabil Shamsan, approved the activation of a joint operations room for all security and military units in the Shamaitin district, south of the governorate. The meeting also designated the district center, the city of Al-Tubah, as a weapon-free zone.
