A soldier from the Southern Giants Forces was killed by a sniper from the Houthi militia, designated as a terrorist organization by the international community, in the Al-Abdiyah district of Marib province in northeastern Yemen, military sources reported on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The sources told "Barran Press" that the soldier, identified as Naif Arif Al-Radfani, serving in the 8th Giants Brigade, was killed by a Houthi sniper at a frontline position in the Al-Jafara area of Al-Abdiyah district, located in the southern part of Marib.

The sources confirmed that the Al-Jafara front in Al-Abdiyah district has witnessed intermittent clashes involving medium weapons and artillery fire between the Giants Forces and Houthi militants since the intense fighting that erupted in Al-Jafara in early July.
