Marib Governorate in northeastern Yemen witnessed the conclusion of the fourth annual summer camp for youth on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The camp, organized by the Committee of Summer Centers and Youth Camps in the governorate, spanned 30 days.

During the closing ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Marib for Administrative Affairs, Abdullah Al-Bakri, highlighted the importance of "holding such summer camps for boys and girls, emphasizing their role in honing their talents, enhancing their abilities, strengthening their minds, and equipping them with valuable life skills."

Al-Bakri stated that these camps promote national loyalty, positive values and morals, love, moderation, and tolerance. They also encourage talent, innovation, creativity, and individual and collective initiatives aimed at serving the community. He emphasized that youth are the ones who will preserve the achievements and gains of the Yemeni revolution and spearhead the nation's advancement.

Dr. Ali Al-Ramal, Chairman of the Committee of Camps and Summer Centers in the governorate, spoke about the success of the camps and centers this year, stating that they achieved their intended goals and aimed to enhance the awareness of the younger generation, equipping them with practical skills and educational knowledge in various foundational fields.

At the end of the ceremony, participants were honored, and a concurrent exhibition was inaugurated, showcasing samples of the outputs of women's training and qualification in income-generating handicrafts that benefit the community.
