A massive public demonstration in Marib, Yemen, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, condemned the "Fajr" (Dawn) massacre perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against displaced Palestinians in the "Al-Fateh" school in Gaza last Saturday, August 10. The rally directly blamed the US administration for the massacre and all other brutal atrocities committed against Palestinians in recent months.
According to a statement released by the rally and obtained by "Barran Press," the war crimes and genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza and elsewhere would not have continued without the support of certain Western capitals, particularly Washington.
The statement criticized the US for its "disgusting" efforts to defend the "fascist entity" and justify its crimes. It called on the international judicial system to send an investigative committee to confirm the Israeli occupation's responsibility for the horrific "Al-Tawabeen" school massacre. The statement also demanded that the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation take decisive action to stop the aggression and genocide against civilians in Gaza.
Marib residents also denounced the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by hundreds of Israeli extremists led by "Ben Gvir," a minister in the Israeli government, whom they described as a criminal and terrorist.
The statement deemed the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque a reflection of the hatred, terrorism, and extremism that the occupying entity embodies. It emphasized that the Zionist schemes to Judaize Al-Aqsa have been ongoing for a long time.
The statement declared that "the continued international silence in the face of the occupation's crimes constitutes full support for its continued brutal crimes across all levels."
It added, "While we acknowledge that the storming of Al-Aqsa by Ben Gvir and other Israelis is a provocation of the feelings of all Muslims, we are confident that these repeated incursions into Jerusalem will not succeed in Judaizing it, imposing a new reality, or tampering with its identity."
The Marib rally's statement also addressed the Israeli army's use of Palestinian civilians as human shields to clear tunnels and buildings in Gaza, as revealed by an investigation published in the Israeli newspaper "Ha'aretz" on Tuesday, August 13. The statement deemed this a further confirmation of the Israeli army's war crimes against humanity and demanded their condemnation by all nations.
In this regard, the statement called for the implementation of International Court of Justice decisions and serious pressure to stop the daily massacres against the Palestinian people. It stated that "failure to implement the International Court of Justice decisions will further weaken the global system and destroy any remaining trust in it among the people."
The statement also condemned the US approval of a new arms deal worth $20 billion to be delivered to the Israeli entity, which it said "includes warplanes, missiles, and artillery ammunition."
It stated that "the continued US financial and military support for the Nazi entity makes it a direct partner in carrying out the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and brutal massacres against the Palestinian people."
The statement reiterated its unwavering stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. It called on the world's freedom-loving people to escalate angry protests to stop the aggression and genocide in Gaza.
For the ninth consecutive month, Marib has witnessed solidarity events with the Palestinian people, who are facing a brutal and destructive war waged by the Israeli occupation with unprecedented Western, particularly American, support.
These solidarity protests and rallies have involved thousands of citizens from all walks of life, social and political components, civil society organizations, university students, and students of religious institutions.
