Ataq, Shabwah, Yemen – August 18, 2024 – A young man has died after sustaining injuries from striking a rock while swimming in flash floodwaters in Shabwah Governorate, eastern Yemen, local sources reported on Sunday.
Sources told "Barran Press" that the young man, identified as Ramzi Awad Mohsen Al-Ajrab Al-Diyani, died in Ataq, the capital of Shabwah Governorate, after suffering severe injuries from the impact of the rock during a swim in the Khura Valley.
According to sources, the young man struck the rock due to a miscalculated jump while swimming in the flash floods of Khura Valley.
