Yemeni Ambassador: Youth Hold the Key to Overcoming Houthi Rule and Building a New Yemen

Speaking at the Innovation and Creativity Forum in Istanbul, Yemen's Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammed Saleh Turaiq, declared that "youth are the hope for overcoming challenges, toppling the Houthi regime and its superstitions, and rebuilding our nation."

The ambassador's remarks were delivered on Wednesday, August 21st, at the forum organized by the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association in Istanbul.

Turaiq lauded the role of young people and students as "ambassadors for Yemen in Turkey," congratulating the innovators on their achievements in the scientific field. He expressed hope that the forum would inspire students with the promise of a brighter future.

He acknowledged the "tragic situation" Yemen currently faces, expressing gratitude to Kuwait and Turkey for their support in facilitating the forum, which he hopes will contribute to sustainable development in Yemen.

The Innovation and Creativity Forum, held in Istanbul on Saturday, was attended by a diverse group including Dr. Mazen Al-Jafri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Sector of Missions and Cultural Relations, members of the Yemeni parliament, members of the Yemeni community in Turkey, and Yemeni students studying at Turkish universities.

The Turkish delegation included Mohammed Siddiq Yildirim, Advisor to the Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ali Erdogan, Deputy Mayor of Bagcilar, and representatives of Kuwaiti charitable organizations, notably the Islamic World Relief Organization.
