Yemen's Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriate Affairs, Shae' Al-Zindani, arrived in Moscow on Monday, August 26, at the official invitation of his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to the Yemeni news agency Saba.
During the visit, the two ministers are expected to discuss issues of mutual interest and hold meetings with various official institutions and organizations. Al-Zindani will also meet with the Yemeni community and Arab ambassadors in Moscow.
Upon his arrival, Al-Zindani was welcomed by Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's representative for the Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister; Igor Bogdashev, Head of the Protocol Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry; Yemen's Ambassador to Moscow, Ahmed Al-Wahishi; and members of the Yemeni embassy.
The Yemeni Foreign Minister's visit to Moscow comes just days after a visit by Yemen's Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Da'eri.
