Marib, Yemen - Major General Sultan al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib Governorate in northeastern Yemen, praised Kuwait's unwavering support for the Yemeni people throughout various stages and circumstances, commending their humanitarian and developmental interventions across multiple sectors.
Al-Arada made these remarks on Tuesday, August 27th, during a meeting with a delegation from the Kuwait Red Crescent Society led by Mishal bin Abdulrahman Al-Lawho, who is currently visiting Marib to assess humanitarian needs and monitor service and development interventions.
According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, al-Arada listened to a brief explanation from the delegation leader regarding their field visit to Marib and the activities and projects implemented by the Red Crescent in the governorate and across various governorates in Yemen.
Al-Arada expressed his deep appreciation for the stances of the Kuwaiti government and people in standing by the Yemeni people through various phases and situations, highlighting their humanitarian and developmental interventions in various fields.
He commended the role of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in working to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Yemen caused by the Houthi terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime, emphasizing their commitment to contributing to improving the humanitarian situation amidst current challenges.
He stated, "The swift humanitarian response from the Red Crescent Society and various Kuwaiti institutions in providing urgent assistance to those affected by the low pressure system and the heavy rains that swept through Hodeidah, Marib, and other Yemeni governorates reflects the brotherly bonds and the strong relationship between the two brotherly peoples."
The head of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society delegation affirmed their commitment to continuing to provide support to the Yemeni people, contributing to meeting their humanitarian needs, and strengthening partnerships with relevant authorities in various humanitarian and development fields.
