A gas station explosion in the Yemeni city of Aden, the temporary capital, claimed the lives of three people and injured seven others on Friday evening, August 30, 2024.

Local sources told "Barran Press" that a fire erupted at a gas station on Al-Tesa'in Street in Mansoura district, leading to a massive explosion that could be heard in various parts of the city. The sources confirmed that the explosion, which occurred amidst densely populated buildings and a busy street teeming with cars and pedestrians, resulted in three fatalities and approximately seven injuries.

The explosion, which ignited a significant fire that spread to a nearby gas tank and surrounding shops, has yet to be attributed to a specific cause. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Local activists shared videos on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter), which "Barran Press" verified, capturing the moment of the explosion and the ensuing fire. Ambulances rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured.
