Numerical weather models indicate that Tropical Storm "Asna" is expected to veer away from Yemen and Oman, dissipating over the sea on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

According to weather model data monitored by "Barran Press," the storm's path is projected to shift from northward to southwestward on Sunday, September 1, moving across the Arabian Sea, away from land.

Numerical weather models predict that "Asna" will likely dissipate on Tuesday, September 3, over the Arabian Sea off the coast of "Halef" in Oman, without impacting the Sultanate of Oman or the Republic of Yemen.

These predictions are based on the presence of a high-pressure system currently dominating the Arabian Peninsula, concentrated in the north. This system is pushing back moist, south-easterly currents laden with vapor, preventing them from reaching land due to the activity of its dry, northwesterly desert winds.

The tropical storm is currently active off the coast of "Ormara" in Pakistan. It is expected to continue its northwestward trajectory towards Muscat before taking a different path on Sunday, moving southwestward and eventually dissipating over the sea on Tuesday, several kilometers off the southern coast of Oman.

On Friday, August 30, 2024, a tropical storm, named "Asna" by Pakistan, struck India and Pakistan, bringing heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. The storm caused the collapse of a house in Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of 12 people. In India, three people lost their lives due to the storm.
