Rainfall levels in Yemen have significantly decreased over the past 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning. However, the center predicts continued rainfall, varying in intensity and accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of 15 provinces over the coming hours.

The center's weather bulletin, reviewed by Barran Press, reported that Hajjah province in northern Yemen recorded the highest rainfall at 21 degrees. The previous day, Ma'afar district in Taiz province had recorded 45.2 degrees, while Tur Al-Baha district in Lahj province in southern Yemen came in second with 24 degrees.

The bulletin highlighted the rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours: Hajjah (21), Remah (18.4), Hodeidah (15.5), Al Bayda (9.4), Al Mahwit (9), Dhamar (4), and Ataq (3.4). Thunderstorms of varying intensity also occurred outside the range of weather stations in parts of the mountainous highlands, inland plateaus, Tihama plain, and western coast.

The National Center of Meteorology forecasts continued rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale, Dhamar, Remah, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, and Saada provinces.

The center expects scattered rainfall in the Tihama plain and coastal areas of Taiz, Hodeidah, and Hajjah provinces. Mountainous areas in Al Bayda, Marib, Al Jawf, Shabwa, Hadhramaut, Mahra, Abyan, and Lahj provinces will also experience scattered rainfall.

The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has renewed its warning to citizens in areas experiencing heavy rainfall to avoid low-lying areas, riverbeds, and bridges.

The center also cautioned against thunderstorms, strong winds, hailstorms, reduced visibility due to rain and fog, and the collapse of mud and traditional buildings due to continued rainfall.
