Nearly 19,000 Foreign Nationals Enter Yemen in August

 The Yemeni Ministry of Interior, recognized by the international community, reported on Monday, September 2, 2024, that 18,728 travelers holding Arab and foreign nationalities entered Yemen during August.

According to a ministry report published on its official website and reviewed by Barran Press, land, sea, and air ports recorded the arrival and departure of 328,525 travelers, including Yemeni citizens and those with Arab and foreign nationalities.

The report detailed that 101,282 Yemeni citizens, 12,551 Arabs, and 6,177 foreigners entered Yemen. Of these, 16,590 arrived via Aden International Airport, while 2,564 arrived via Seiyun International Airport in Hadhramaut.

Regarding land and sea ports, the ministry reported that the Al-Wade'a border crossing in Hadhramaut recorded the arrival of 74,917 travelers, while 16,770 arrived via the Shahan border crossing, 9,137 via the Sarfeit border crossing in Mahra governorate, and 32 via the Mukalla port.

The ministry also reported that the same ports recorded the departure of 183,085 Yemeni citizens, 15,578 Arabs, and 9,852 foreigners. Of these, 22,448 departed via Aden International Airport, while 3,673 departed via Seiyun International Airport.

The ministry added that 147,342 travelers departed via the Al-Wade'a land border crossing, 22,960 via the Shahan border crossing, 12,080 via the Sarfeit border crossing, and 12 via the Mukalla port.
