The local authority in Marib Governorate, northeastern Yemen, launched the distribution of food aid to 5,000 families affected by the recent torrential rains and storms on Saturday, September 9th, 2024. The aid is provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) as part of their "Life-Saving Food Aid" project for the most vulnerable families.

Marib Governorate's Deputy Governor, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah, was briefed on the project by the representative of the Human Development Program in Marib, a partner implementing the project, Salman Bin Dahman, and the relief coordinator at the KSrelief office in Marib, Lutf Al-Ghubari. They explained that the project would distribute 5,000 food baskets, one for each affected family.

"Miftah" praised the humanitarian interventions of KSrelief in various fields and its swift response to humanitarian appeals from the local authority and the executive unit by distributing food and emergency aid.

He emphasized that this aid, launched as part of the "Life-Saving Food Aid" project, will significantly alleviate the suffering of beneficiaries, especially in light of the decline in humanitarian interventions from international organizations.
