On September 8, 2024, Yemeni Army Chief of Staff Major General "Saghir bin Aziz" pledged to honor the blood of the martyrs of the republic and to continue the national struggle until victory is achieved and Yemen is liberated from the grip of the Houthi terrorist group.

His remarks came during a speech at a commemorative event organized by the "Sanaa Resistance Council" in Marib province, marking the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Sheikh "Rabeesh Al-Aliei." General bin Aziz emphasized, “Martyr Rabeesh combined the rifle with political action, and God chose him as a martyr in this great September, the month of his birth and his martyrdom, as he stood on the front lines in one of the battles in Nehm, east of the capital Sana’a.”

In his speech, Mohammed Al-Far, a member of the Supreme Council of Resistance, expressed the significant void left by the republican leader Sheikh Rabeesh Al-Aliei in both the political and military arenas, noting his role as one of the early founders of the resistance during the Houthi militia's coup.

Sheikh Rabeesh's eldest son, "Mutee' Rabeesh Al-Aliei," shared that his father's decision to take up arms was driven by a sense of danger threatening the September 26 Revolution, which coincides annually with his birth and death anniversaries. He urged political and military leaders to support the families of martyrs and to care for the wounded in recognition of their sacrifices.

The event was attended by several leaders from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, provincial officials, and dignitaries from various Yemeni regions.

Sheikh Rabeesh Ali Wahban Al-Aliei was a member of the Yemeni Parliament representing District 221 in the Al-Haimah district of Sana’a province. He served as Vice President of the Sanaa Resistance Council and was a prominent social figure in Yemen. He was martyred in September 2020 while confronting the internationally designated terrorist Houthi group at the Al-Makhadra front in western Marib.
