In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Matareh Marib, which served as the cornerstone of the popular resistance movement and a bulwark against the Houthi militia's coup, "Barran" Media Foundation is launching a comprehensive week-long coverage campaign under the theme "Marib's Matareh: A Republican Solidarity."

The campaign, which kicks off today, Sunday, September 15th, 2024, will highlight the crucial role played by Marib, its tribes, political parties, local authorities, and the Yemeni freedom fighters who rallied to defend the republican system, national identity, and the achievements of the republic.

The coverage will include a comprehensive journalistic file featuring in-depth reports, interviews with ministers, ambassadors, and government officials, discussions with experts and researchers, and a series of articles by prominent Yemeni writers from diverse political and intellectual backgrounds.

The campaign will be accompanied by a widespread online presence on social media platforms under the hashtag #Matareh_Marib_Republican_Solidarity. #مطارح_مأرب_تلاحم_جمهوري

The foundation encourages journalists and activists to participate actively in the campaign, celebrating this historic moment and the national role played by Marib, ensuring it remains etched in the national memory.

Over the past decade of war, Marib, with its pride, resilience, and rich cultural heritage, has stood as an unyielding bastion against the complete collapse of the Yemeni state. It has become a hub for rebuilding the military institution and a springboard for liberating other provinces from the control of the Houthi group. Marib has served as a living example of the presence of the state and its institutions, a haven for all Yemenis from all walks of life, and a testament to national unity deserving of recognition.
