On Sunday evening, September 15, 2024, the Houthi militia, designated as a terrorist organization by the international community, launched a Katyusha rocket attack on civilian areas in the Harib district of Marib Governorate, northeast Yemen.
According to a "Barran Press" correspondent, the Iranian-backed Houthi group fired the rocket, which landed between the Rozan and Al-Rawda areas in Harib. The rocket struck a farm area close to residential homes in the northern part of Harib, the correspondent confirmed.
The attack coincided with the Houthi militia's celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday in their positions in the mountain ranges between Harib and Juba districts, south of Marib. The celebrations included gunfire, artillery and rocket fire, green lights, and fireworks.
