Rashad Al-Alimi, head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, checked in on the health of former Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi on Sunday, September 15, 2024. This follows Hadi's recent departure from his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Al-Alimi made the inquiry during a phone call with Hadi, expressing concern for his well-being after successful routine medical examinations in the United States, according to the official Saba news agency.
Al-Alimi, on behalf of himself and the Presidential Leadership Council members, extended heartfelt congratulations to the former president for his safe return and wished him good health, well-being, and a long life.
In late August, informed sources revealed that Hadi had traveled to the United States for medical treatment.
This marks the first time the former Yemeni president has left his residence in Riyadh since the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the transfer of his powers to the council in April 2022.
