In an exclusive interview with "Barran Press," Lieutenant General Sagheir Hamoud bin Aziz, Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces and Commander of Joint Operations, painted a stark picture of the ongoing conflict in Yemen, highlighting the crucial role of the tribes of Marib in resisting the Houthi insurgency.

Marib: A Bastion of Resistance

General bin Aziz lauded the tribes of Marib, calling them the "nucleus and the good seed" that has successfully stemmed the tide of the Houthi militia, which had overrun much of the country. He attributed the preservation of the dignity of the Yemeni people, the 26th of September Revolution, and the 14th of October Revolution to the firm stance taken by the tribes of Ma'rib and their leader, Sheikh Sultan bin Ali al-Arada.

The Arab Coalition: A Lifeline

General bin Aziz acknowledged the vital role of the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia in supporting the Yemeni government. He declared that the Coalition's contributions across all sectors are etched in the memory of the Yemeni people and that without their intervention, Yemen would have become a mere "pen for Iran."

The Imami Project: A Shadowy Threat

The interview delved into the legacy of the Imams who ruled Yemen, and the 26th of September Revolution that ended their reign. General bin Aziz highlighted the numerous achievements of the September and October Revolutions for the Yemeni people. However, he also spoke of a "secret" Imami project that has continued to operate since the revolution, aiming to rewind history and restore the old order. He accused this project of having "secret leaders" who have been working clandestinely since 1962 to achieve their goals. He lamented a lack of attention and action in confronting this project, calling it a "shortcoming."

A Call for Unity Against Houthi Extremism

General bin Aziz emphasized that the Yemeni people will never accept the erasure of the culture of the 26th of September Revolution. He urged the Yemeni political and military leadership, including the Presidential Leadership Council, the legitimate state institutions, and the Coalition, to adopt a comprehensive strategy to counter the "destructive culture" and "project of death" being implemented by the Houthi militia with Iranian support.

The interview concluded with a strong message of resilience and determination, highlighting the ongoing struggle against the Houthi insurgency and the crucial role played by the tribes of Marib in safeguarding the future of Yemen.
