In a recent interview with "Barran Press," Dr. Abd Rabbu Miftah, the Deputy Governor of Marib, reflected on the significance of the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, highlighting the extraordinary circumstances Yemen currently faces. He described this date as a pivotal moment that separated the era of oppression from the dawn of freedom led by the country's brave citizens.

Miftah emphasized that the legacy of the revolution remains vital, stating, "If the Yemeni people had preserved the goals of the September 26 Revolution, the imamate would not have resurfaced." He pointed out that the current Houthi leadership represents a return to the oppressive systems of the past, supported by external forces.

As the anniversary approaches, Miftah noted that Yemenis continue to confront the same Zaidi lineage that has returned under a different guise. He remarked, "The Houthi militia is an extension of the imams who once oppressed the Yemeni people," adding that the ongoing celebrations of the revolution across Yemen, including Houthi-controlled areas, reflect its enduring significance.

Regarding the local government's preparations for the September 26 celebrations, Miftah declared the revolution as the "Mother Revolution," underscoring the extensive commemorations across various sectors in Marib. He described the province as the capital of all Yemen's free citizens.

In discussing development in Marib, Miftah addressed issues related to infrastructure, particularly the challenges of oil production and traffic congestion. He acknowledged the dual responsibility of building and protecting local projects amid ongoing conflict. "Marib has transformed significantly during the war," he noted, highlighting its expansion from just two streets to a thriving area of development.

Miftah also tackled pressing issues such as electricity shortages and the local government's commitment to providing essential services despite military pressures from the Houthi militia. He affirmed that under the leadership of Governor Sultan Al-Aradah, the local authority remains determined to meet the needs of the community without exception.
