Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak arrived in Marib Governorate (northeast Yemen) on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to assess the province's conditions and participate in celebrations marking the anniversaries of the Yemeni September, October, and November revolutions.

According to the official Yemen News Agency (Saba), bin Mubarak was accompanied by several ministers, including those from the ministries of information, finance, interior, water and environment, industry and trade, and electricity and energy. This visit is part of a series of field trips to liberated governorates to understand the situation, address citizen concerns, and monitor progress in service delivery, living conditions, development, and military and security affairs.

Saba reported that Marib will witness significant popular celebrations commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. The agency highlighted that the past ten years, since the Houthi coup, have underscored the revolution's achievements and the public's rejection of the Houthi project, emphasizing the restoration of the spirit of the September Revolution, its national gains, and its republican system.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with local authorities, military and security leaders, and political and social figures. He will also inaugurate several service and development projects.

Upon arrival, bin Mubarak praised the Marib local authorities for maintaining state authority, facilitating citizen services, implementing a robust security plan to counter Houthi attempts to destabilize the region, and fostering social cohesion. He emphasized the government's commitment to replicating this model of governance and social harmony in other liberated governorates, noting Marib's role in hosting internally displaced Yemenis fleeing Houthi violence.

Marib City will host a ceremony to light the flame commemorating the September 26, 1962 revolution, which ended the rule of imams in northern Yemen.
