On September 25, 2024, Major General Sultan al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, welcomed Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak and several government officials in Marib, northeastern Yemen. Their visit coincided with the celebrations for the 62nd anniversary of the Yemeni Revolution.

According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, Al-Arada praised the Prime Minister's commitment to understanding the situation in Marib firsthand across various sectors.

He emphasized the importance of integrating government efforts with local authorities and executive offices to address the challenges posed by the increasing number of displaced persons and the damage caused by recent floods. Al-Arada stressed the need to implement appropriate measures to improve services, particularly in road infrastructure.

The Prime Minister's visit aligns with nationwide celebrations of the 26th of September Revolution, which Al-Arada noted is particularly significant as the Yemeni people continue to fight for the same values and goals against the ongoing threats posed by the Houthi militia. He described this militia as a force of barbarism attempting to undermine the nation's freedom, independence, dignity, and sovereignty.

Al-Arada reiterated that the enduring Yemeni revolutions of September, October, and November represent a victory for the people's values in their struggle against both the oppressive Imamate and colonialism. He characterized this struggle as a continuous journey toward achieving national goals for which many brave Yemenis have sacrificed greatly.

In response, Prime Minister bin Mubarak stated that the visit aims to support local authorities and assess the overall situation and needs of the province. He assured that the government would assist local leadership in plans and programs designed to maintain stability in service, development, and security sectors, commending Marib as a model in this regard.

The welcoming committee also included Major General Sagheer Hamood bin Aziz, Chief of Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, along with local officials and military leaders.

Earlier that day, Prime Minister bin Mubarak arrived in Marib with ministers from various sectors, including media, finance, interior, water and environment, industry and trade, and electricity and energy, to participate in the celebrations honoring the Yemeni revolutions of September, October, and November.
