On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Abdullah Al-Bakri, the Deputy Governor of Marib for Administrative Affairs, inaugurated the Noor Saba Specialized Eye Surgery Center in Marib City, northeastern Yemen, alongside Dr. Amal Dahwan, Deputy Director of the Public Health and Population Office in the province.
During the opening, Al-Bakri toured the medical facilities, examining the clinics and operating room equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical tools. He received a briefing from Dr. Hassan Ali Al-Mahshami, the center's director, on the range of services to be offered, including cosmetic surgery, tear duct procedures, eye tumors, trauma reconstruction, pediatric ophthalmology, and surgeries for cataracts and glaucoma.
Al-Bakri expressed his satisfaction with establishing this specialized center, highlighting its significance as a valuable addition to the health sector in the province. He noted that it will help alleviate patients' suffering, including displaced individuals and the host community.
He emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality services and ensuring the availability of qualified medical personnel with expertise and competence to enhance the quality of care provided.
