Explosion at Fuel Tank of Power Station in Say'un Claims One Life and Injures Another

Local sources reported on Saturday, October 5, 2024, that a citizen was killed and another injured due to an explosion at a fuel tank belonging to a power station in Say'un, located in Hadramout Governorate, eastern Yemen.

According to sources speaking to "Barran Press," the explosion of the fuel tank resulted in one fatality and left another person with burns and smoke inhalation. The incident also caused significant damage, igniting two nearby houses and a commercial refrigeration unit.

The sources described a massive explosion that ignited the fuel tank, spreading flames to adjacent homes and the commercial refrigeration unit. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.

A civil defense team from Say'un, with the assistance of residents, managed to control and extinguish the fire.
