Marib, Yemen – A large women's protest took place in Marib, northeastern Yemen, on Monday, October 7th, 2024, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemn the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza. The demonstration coincided with the first anniversary of Operation "Aqsa Flood."

A statement released by the organizers, obtained by Barran Press, denounced what it called the West and international community's "total bias" towards Israel. It urged global citizens to continue opposing these atrocities and to act on all levels to save the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza.

The protesters highlighted Operation "Aqsa Flood" (October 7th, 2023) as a significant event in reviving the Palestinian cause and thwarting normalization efforts with Israel. The statement called for a boycott of all Israeli products and companies and reaffirmed the Palestinian people's right to resist occupation and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement urged Arab and Muslim leaders to stand with the Palestinians to restore their dignity and land, advocating for a unified Arab stance to uphold Palestinian rights. It also called upon the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take immediate action to stop the Israeli massacres in Gaza, prosecute Israeli leaders, and investigate all Israeli war crimes through international courts.

The protest was one of many in Marib since October 2023, condemning the Israeli war on Gaza and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. The organizers pledged continued protests and demonstrations until Palestine achieves freedom and reclaims its land and dignity.
