Marib Police Report High Crime Clearance Rate in Third Quarter of 2024

Marib Governorate police reported a high crime clearance rate in the third quarter of 2024, successfully resolving 156 out of 157 reported crimes and non-criminal incidents, according to a statement released Tuesday, October 9th by the security media of the internationally recognized Yemeni government's Ministry of Interior.

Of the 200 suspects involved in these incidents, 176 were apprehended. The crimes resulted in 48 fatalities (including 6 women) and 62 injuries (including 7 women) among the 162 victims.

The statement detailed the police's actions, indicating that 42 cases were referred to the public prosecution, 45 to specialized authorities, and procedures were halted in 57 cases. Twelve cases were resolved through reconciliation and settlement, while one remains under investigation. The high clearance rate reflects the ongoing efforts of Marib's police force to maintain law and order in the region.
