On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the city of Marib hosted a vibrant artistic and ceremonial event to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, organized by the leadership of the Aden Resistance, according to the official Saba News Agency.

During the celebration, Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Abdullah Abu Al-Ghaith and the Inspector General of the Armed Forces, Major General Adel Al-Qumairi, emphasized the significance of October 14, highlighting the sacrifices made to expel the last British soldier and achieve Yemeni unity.

Both officials remarked that the October 14 Revolution served as a “natural extension” of the September 26 Revolution, marking pivotal moments that transformed the lives of Yemenis and altered the course of history, particularly in the southern region.

They identified the resurgence of the Imamate project, represented by the Houthi group—designated a terrorist organization—as a “real danger” aiming to revert the people to ignorance, poverty, and oppression while sowing discord and fragmenting the social fabric of the nation.

The event also featured remarks from Major General Mohsen Al-Bakri, Deputy Director of the Air and Air Defense College, and the leader of the Aden Resistance in Marib, along with Abian Governor’s Deputy Abdulaziz Al-Hamza, who recounted the heroic struggles and sacrifices made by revolutionaries during various phases of the revolution, celebrating their bravery and dedication that led to their ultimate victory.

Additionally, a speech was delivered by Duaa Suwan, who highlighted the importance of the October 14 Revolution in the lives of Yemenis, noting its achievements in transitioning the populace from oppression to justice, freedom, and progress.
