Rashad Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, outlined his strategic approach to crisis management during a recent address. He emphasized the importance of local authorities and communities in assessing situations and implementing appropriate measures per the constitution and existing laws.

In his remarks, Alimi highlighted the pivotal role of the Consultation Authority and reconciliation committees in fostering unity and addressing urgent crises. He noted that managing differences and varying priorities is crucial for learning from past experiences and crafting constructive policies.

Alimi called on all political and social forces to draw inspiration from the spirit of the October 14 Revolution, urging national solidarity to navigate local and regional challenges. He stressed the need for a collective effort to restore state institutions, dismantle the Houthi rebellion, and transform crises into opportunities.

"Values from the October and September revolutions compel us to work collaboratively to achieve our fundamental goals and guide Yemen through this increasingly complex phase," he stated, acknowledging the enduring spirit of those revolutions despite the challenges posed by the Houthi insurgency.

He reassured citizens that the government remains committed to fulfilling its obligations, particularly in ensuring the continued payment of salaries, securing fuel supplies, and providing essential services in electricity, water, education, and healthcare.

Alimi also addressed the persistent local and external challenges facing Yemen, asserting that these issues will not dissipate as long as the Houthi militia remains active. He criticized the Houthis for their reckless actions, including what he termed their "foolishness" in inviting external aggression against Yemen's infrastructure while neglecting the real impact of their actions on the humanitarian crisis.

He emphasized the Iranian influence as a significant challenge to Yemen's identity and relationships with the regional and international community. Alimi reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for the Palestinian people's right to an independent state, as well as Lebanon’s sovereignty and exclusive right to control its armament.

In conclusion, he expressed hope that the Houthis would seize the opportunity presented by regional changes to reconsider their strategies and prioritize the needs of the Yemeni people. He called for a focus on national interests as a pathway to peace and stability.

As Yemenis prepare to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution against British colonial rule, Alimi urged all citizens to unite in honoring the legacy of their struggle for freedom.
