The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) issued a warning on Tuesday about the circulation of fraudulent advertisements on WhatsApp and social media platforms claiming to offer cash prizes or job opportunities with the organization.

In a statement on its official website, which was reviewed by Barran Press, UNICEF expressed serious concern over the proliferation of these ads, clarifying that it has not launched any such awards and that all messages promoting them are false and unreliable.

The organization specified that recruitment is conducted solely through its official online platform and that no fees are charged for job applications. UNICEF urged the public to exercise caution and avoid sharing their personal information to prevent falling victim to scams.

In its statement, UNICEF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting children in Yemen and providing necessary assistance, adding that it will take legal action to combat misleading activities conducted in its name.
